The Templeton Philharmonic are a comedy duo based in Toronto, Canada. Comedians Gwynne Phillips (CBC's Kim's Convenience and HBO's Sensitive Skin) and Briana Templeton (SyFy's The Expanse and CTV's The Beaverton) are known for their sketch comedy that blends period pieces, surrealism, and biting social commentary with a feminist bent. The pair have performed on stages across North America and picked up awards such as “Best Duo” at the LA Comedy Festival, and “Producer’s Pick” at the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival.

The Making-Box Brigade is Guelph, Ontario’s own professional improv and sketch ensemble. Made up of fiercely funny friends, this troupe has a solid foundation in comedy and friendship. Together, they headline at Guelph’s premier Comedy Theatre and Training Centre for sold out audiences every Friday night. They’re also festival Darlings at Hillside, Detroit Improv Festival, Ottawa Improv Festival and Toronto Sketch Fest.

Gillian Bartolucci is an alumnus of the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts as well as a graduate of the Toronto Second City Conservatory Program. Gillian has performed at Just For Laughs (Rapp Battlez), JFL42 (New Faces: Character Showcase), and both Toronto and Montreal (Best of the Fest), Sketch Comedy Festivals. Gillian has written two one-woman sketch revues, Full Body Pull, and The Weight of It All for the Toronto Fringe, and has made NOW Magazine’s Top 10 Comedy Show lists numerous time

Chris Locke is a Canadian stand up comedian, actor, and writer. “One of Canada’s staggeringly original comedians.” - Chris is a regular touring stand up who performs at comedy clubs, independent theatres, and festivals which include multiple TV tapings at Just For Laughs Montreal, Headlining sets at JFL42 (Toronto), and appearances at Bridgetown Comedy Festival (Portland), SF Sketchfest (San Francisco), and more. As an actor Chris appears regularly on Baroness Von Sketch, Has been seen on Mr. D., Tallboyz, Filth City, and some other stuff coming up soon. Cool, eh? Chris’s stand up plays regularly on SiriusXM radio. He can also be heard on CBC’s The Debaters.

The Phlegm Fatales are an all female/non-binary improv troupe and they are sickening. Hayley Kellett, Clarissa Shepherd, Kayla Simms, Emily Vance and Erin Watson formed this troupe after meeting at The Making-Box in 2019. These five fierce feminists are here to celebrate and share their voice through strangeness, truth and hopefully laughter that shoots snot rockets from your nostrils - consensually of course.

Aliya is a Toronto-based comedian best known for her playful and mischievous personality. Her solo show, "Where You From, From?" recently sold out at the 2019 Just for Laughs Festival and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. She has showcased with Standup NBC-2018 in New York at the renowned Gotham Comedy Club, Zoofest/Off-JFL, Chicago’s NBC/Second City Breakout Comedy Festival, SiriusXM’s Top Comic, Montreal’s LadyFest, Seattle International Comedy Competition, Brantford Comedy Festival, Shedot, Crom Fest, NXNE Festival and headlined Madison’s Lady Laughs Festival. Aliya can be heard on the CBC LOL network, as well as SiriusXM.

David Stein is the owner of Copper Sound Studios, Musical Director of The Making-Box in Guelph and the go-to music guru in Guelph. He’s rallied together some of his finest musical improvising friends to act as Musical Director for this year’s festival.


As a member of The Making-Box Brigade, regular host and stand-up at The Making-Box, and leader of local comedy collective Comedy Church, Jason tells tales ranging from his childhood, to his child, and all that happened in between. Jason's life has provided plenty of material. A problem shared, is a problem halved, so let his problems make you laugh.
