GUELPH COMEDY FESTIVAL: 2016 PREVIEW GALA (SEPT 30)

29.50

Perhaps the greatest collection of comedic talent to land in Guelph on a single night! Come celebrate comedy and community and get a taste of what’s to come at the 2016 Guelph Comedy Festival (Oct 20-23). This extra-special gala show features:

Falcon Powder: Made up of Toronto comedy veterans and married fathers: Jim Annan (Murdoch Mysteries, Little Mosque on the Prairie, Rookie Blue), Kurt Smeaton (Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs, Mr. D, Men With Brooms, This Is That) and Scott Montgomery (Gemini Award Winner, The Ron James Show, Second City). “The Powder” (as no one calls them) perform short comedic stories (or “sketches”), that will blow the socks off your mind’s feet while punching your heart in its face. They’ve won a Canadian Comedy Award, were named Best of the Fest in 2010 and 2011 at the Toronto Sketch Fest and in 2012 at the LA Sketch Fest. They travel with their awards and will show you if you ask or sometimes even if you don’t.

Daniel Woodrow: Daniel’s comedy has been seen and heard on CTV, Comedy Network, Much’s Video On Trial, Sirius XM and Just For Laughs. He’s shared the stage with Sarah Silverman, Jon Dore and Gerry Dee and you may also recognize him from the numerous TV commercials he's starred in, as the self-professed “Token Black Guy” -- his words. The recent winner of The Brantford Comedy Festival, Daniel Woodrow is quickly becoming a destination in comedy.

Hayley Kellett: This incredible human has been nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award: Best Female Improviser (2015) as well as NOW Magazine's Best Female Improviser (2015). Hayley has a long history with the world renowned Second City with select credits including Holidazed and Confused (Tour Co.), Miracle on Mercer Street and is an integral part of Guelph's rising comedy scene as co-owner of The Making-Box. Other career highlights include 5 BeerProv Championships, performing with two mayors and kissing Colin Mochrie on the mouth...twice.

Plus, rising-star local Guelph comedians Mirali Almaula and Daina Wallace
