Let’s Build a Troupe!

Join instructor Cas Knihnisky for a 5-week ensemble class culminating in a performance at the 2026 Guelph Comedy Festival.

We’re looking for 12 brave community members from beginner to advanced experience levels to join us in an exciting experiment - can we build a brand-new troupe in just five weeks?

This class explores foundational improvisation skills including scene work, storytelling, and stagecraft.

And you’ll finish the course by headlining the opening night of the 2026 Guelph Comedy Festival on Thursday, October 15.

Classes will take place from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at 10C (42 Carden St.) in Guelph, Ontario on the following Thursdays:

September 10th

September 17th

September 24th

October 1st

October 8th

The class costs $99/person. If finances are a barrier for you please reach out to us at fest@guelphcomedyfestival.com as we never want cost to be the reason someone can’t participate.
